Autumn 1865. Drustan, Hermes, and their companion, Joe Adam, have to flee head over heels because the guests at a saloon couldn't appreciate the "dramaturgy" of their performance. And so they continue their journey with their rickety covered wagon and meager theatrical equipment through the Civil War-torn states of North America. After a buffalo hunt, they unexpectedly encounter a Black man who had lived among the Indians for a while. And it's almost unbelievable: Drustan knows this man.
About the author and other contributors
Christian Rossi (born 1954) published his first comics from 1979 in magazines such as "Gomme," "Circus," "Pilote," and "Pif." In 1981, he launched his first album series, "Der Planwagen des Thespis" (Thespis's Covered Wagon, German edition by Piredda). From 1985 followed "Die Verwirrung des Julius Antoine" (The Confusion of Julius Antoine) based on a scenario by Serge Le Tendre (German edition by Carlsen), and from 1990 "Der Zyklus der zwei Horizonte" (The Cycle of the Two Horizons) with texts by Pierre Makyo (also by Carlsen). In 1991, Rossi continued the Western series "Jim Cutlass," originally created by Jean-Michel Charlier and Jean Giraud (German edition by Carlsen and Kult Editionen). This was followed by the series "La Gloire d’Héra" and "Tirésias," written by Serge Le Tendre, as well as the single volume "Capitaine La Guibole" with short stories by Enrique Sanchez Abuli. Finally, he created the series "W.E.S.T." with scriptwriters Xavier Dorison and Fabien Nury, which is now completely available from Piredda Verlag.
