Details: California, 1820 After three years in Spain, Don Diego de la Vega returns to California by ship. On board, Diego learns that his homeland of Los Angeles has fallen under the rule of the cruel dictator Capitan Monastario. Thus, he begins to understand the meaning of a letter his father had sent him, asking him to return home. Aware that an open attack on Monastario and his troops would be futile, Diego decides to act in secret. He assumes the role of the harmless student, more interested in books than in sword fighting. At night, however, he dons his black costume and rides for justice. Los Angeles has found its protector: El Zorro - the Fox! Although Alex Toth did not receive adequate recognition when these comics were first published, his Zorro episodes from the late 50s and early 60s are now considered milestones in the history of graphic storytelling. "Classic Heroes" is proud to present these great adventures in a brand new collector's edition as hardcover comics. With a new translation, new coloring, and unedited drawings, our high-quality first edition is the perfect opportunity to experience the classic adventures of our Californian hero all over again!! Each issue of this six-part series comes with a brand new cover by American Animation & ComicBook Artist Rubén Procopio! Volume 1, with the stories "Zorro's First Appearance" and "The Secret Passage," will be released on January 20, 2011.
