Details: Short Description This album contains several short stories, including one about a historical reference work and how to reach a seemingly unattainable jam jar. Another episode takes place in the Wild West, and in yet another story, the relentless dog tax collector comes to the house. But Mr. Bojenberg's motorcycle and artist Dupa himself also make small cameo appearances. About the Author and Other Contributors Dupa (i.e. Luc Dupanloup, 1945-2000) began his career as an artist as an assistant to Greg, then editor-in-chief of "Tintin" magazine, and initially worked on the realization of several series, including Achille Talon (German: Albert Enzian by Ehapa and Carlsen). In 1968, Greg commissioned him to create a new gag character that was urgently needed for "Tintin." Dupa then drew a large, hairy ball with paws and gave it a good-natured appearance. Just fifteen minutes later, the first sketch was finished! But what should this new creature be called? The name of a bone wouldn't be bad, since it seemed to be a dog. So Dupa consulted a reference work and took the name Cubitus (i.e., the ulna) from an anatomical drawing... Between 1968 and 1970, Dupa also created several short stories about the little country boy Petit Biniou in the style of Greg. And from 1971 to 1976, he also took over the Chlorophylle series created by Raymond Macherot, with scenarios by Greg and Bob de Groot. In addition, in 1980, Dupa created the red-haired truck driver Niky (German in "Yps"). However, his greatest success proved to be Cubitus, who first appeared on this side of the Rhine in the "Felix" comic books (under the name "Hannibal") and then established himself in "ZACK" magazine from 1973, where he later even became the editorial mascot. In Germany, 14 Cubitus albums were published by Carlsen Comics, as well as two volumes by Phoenix Verlag. In 1988, over 100 animated cartoon episodes were produced for television and broadcast in Germany on SuperRTL. At the end of October 2000, Dupa suffered a stroke and finally died shortly thereafter at the age of only 55 in a hospital near Brussels.
