Details: In the first part of our latest special, we take a look back at Superman's first year, and accompany the Man of Steel on his first flight into space. Superman receives a distress call and discovers an alien spacecraft on the moon. The dying pilot asks the Man of Steel to save his planet from destruction, and Superman sets off for new worlds and galaxies that have never before... Back in the present, Superman and Green Lantern must stop a giant creature that is terrorizing Hobs Bay harbor and has taken a ship hostage. Among the passengers are Lois and Jimmy, who is reporting live for WGBS on the spectacular event. Meanwhile, another alien creature has reached Metropolis. Has it just gotten lost and wants to ask Supie for directions? Certainly not, because you can get answers without resorting to violence. This special also lays the groundwork for our next big storyline: Superman #21 begins "The trial of Superman" - Superman before an intergalactic court... a breathtaking sci-fi epic that will take several issues, is incredibly well-drawn and told, and - as mentioned - has its roots in the 4th Special!
