Details: Short description The Orphan Trains ran between 1853 and 1929, transporting an estimated 250,000 orphans from the East Coast of America westward to be placed with pioneer families... 1920. After escaping Cowpoke Canyon, Lisa and Joey finally reach New York, hoping to find Joey's older brother Jim there. By chance, they meet Mister Coleman, who was responsible for the adoptions of the orphans traveling on their Orphan Train at the time. They ask him for help, but "Jim" is not at all keen on being found, because in reality, it's Harvey, who has pretended to be Jim... About the Author and other Contributors Frenchman Philippe Charlot (b. 1960) is a professional musician (guitar, vocals) and a founding member of the trio La Fabrique à Swing, which is dedicated to European swing of the 1930s and 40s. He wrote his first comic texts starting in 2009 for volumes 4 and 5 of the series Game Over, drawn by Adam and Midam, as well as for stories by various authors in A vous Cognacq-Jay: Les grandes heures de la télévision en BD. In 2011, together with artist Alexis Chabert, he combined his two passions (music and writing) in the two albums of the Bourbon Street series. The one-shot Harmonijka (2012), drawn by Miras, also has a musical background, telling the story of harmonica player Greg Zlap, who accompanied Johnny Hallyday on his tour in 1966. In 2012, Charlot also launched two other new series: Karma Salsa with screenwriter Joël Callède and artist Frédéric Campoy, and the two-part Orphan Train, published by Piredda Verlag, with The Legend of the Changeling artist Xavier Fourquemin. Xavier Fourquemin (b. 1970) was born in France but moved to Belgium in 1991, where he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tournai. There he attended Antonio Cossu's courses and graduated four years later. In February 1996, his first comic story was published: "L'immonde Bête" was four pages long and appeared in the magazine "Gotham". Afterwards, he worked with screenwriter Dieter, and the series Alban (1997) and Outlaw (2001) were created. In 2007, he created Miss Endicott (scripts: Jean-Christophe Derrien) before starting The Legend of the Changeling in 2008. This series, with text by Pierre Dubois, revolves around little Peter, called Scrubby, who moves between two worlds: on the one hand, the real alleys of late 19th-century London, where he is forced to move with his family, and on the other hand, the fantastic universe of fairies, where countless gnomes, nymphs, goblins, hobgoblins, trolls, and many others live. Finally, in 2012, he started the Orphan Train series with screenwriter Philippe Charlot, which deals with the reunion of two orphans who, after a long time, meet again and come to terms with their past.
