Details: Short description 1990. In his elegant New York State residence, Harvey is not very surprised when Jim pays him a visit. 70 years earlier, the two men had met as children on an Orphan Train. On their journey west, they all too often had to witness that what was being sought was not homeless children, but primarily cheap labor. About the author and other contributors Philippe Charlot (born 1960), a Frenchman, is a professional musician (guitar, vocals) and a founding member of the trio La Fabrique à Swing, which is dedicated to European swing of the 1930s and 40s. He wrote his first comic texts from 2009 for volumes 4 and 5 of the Game Over series, drawn by Adam and Midam, as well as for the stories in A vous Cognacq-Jay: Les grandes heures de la télévision en BD, created by various authors. Together with artist Alexis Chabert, he combined his two passions (music and writing) in 2011 in the two albums of the Bourbon Street series. The one-shot Harmonijka (2012), drawn by Miras, also has a musical background, telling the story of harmonica player Greg Zlap, who accompanied Johnny Hallyday on his tour in 1966. In 2012, Charlot also launched two more new series: Karma Salsa with scriptwriter Joël Callède and artist Frédéric Campoy, and the two-part series Orphan Train, published by Piredda Verlag, with Xavier Fourquemin, the artist of The Legend of the Changeling. Xavier Fourquemin (born 1970) was born in France but moved to Belgium in 1991, where he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tournai. There he attended Antonio Cossu's courses and graduated four years later. In February 1996, his first comic story was published: "L'immonde Bête" was four pages long and appeared in the magazine "Gotham". He then worked with scriptwriter Dieter, creating the series Alban (1997) and Outlaw (2001). In 2007, he also created Miss Endicott (scripts: Jean-Christophe Derrien) before starting The Legend of the Changeling in 2008. This series, written by Pierre Dubois, revolves around little Peter, called Scrubby, who moves between two worlds: on the one hand, in the real streets of late 19th-century London, where he is forced to move with his family, and on the other hand, in the fantastic universe of fairies, where countless gnomes, nymphs, goblins, hobgoblins, trolls, and many others frolic. Finally, in 2012, he started the Orphan Train series with scriptwriter Philippe Charlot, which is about the reunion of two orphans who meet again after a long time and come to terms with their past.
