Details: The time spent with best friends and worst classmates in school camps and youth hostels, by the woods, by the beach, in the big city or in rural solitude, in worn-out beds and by the campfire… everyone remembers it. The days spent with school classes or youth groups mark the transition to adulthood and later become a beautiful or unpleasant, but in any case lasting, memory. As part of a guest professorship at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Georg Barber (ATAK) taught comics and illustration for a year. Arising from a seminar in the Design Department at HAW, Hamburg, this volume collects contributions from Arne Bellstorf, Björn Brot, Judith Drews, Inga Dorofeeva, Sascha Hommer, Line Hoven, Gosia Machon, and Gregor Wiggert. For “Klassenfahrt” (School Trip), the roles were reversed: the "girls" illustrated what the "boys" experienced and wrote down on a school trip, and vice versa! With a cover illustration by Mawil and a foreword by ATAK (Ed.).
