Details: Short description After his wife Susan, a former FBI agent, mysteriously disappears, Frank Lincoln resigns from the police force and becomes a private detective in Alaska. While searching for Susan, a hot lead takes him to Japan, to an American military base, where he meets Major Woods, who commanded his assistant Billy's company when he was in the Marines. Woods confirms that Susan was staying there during her pregnancy and arranges a meeting in Tokyo. But when Frank feels he is being watched, things get out of hand. About the Author and other Contributors Marc Bourgne (b. 1967) was born in Versailles. He completed his four-year history degree at the Sorbonne in 1989 with a dissertation on Alaska. It was no coincidence, therefore, that his first comic series, Être-Libre (1992), was set in the vastness of North America. A few years later, Bourgne created the history of Monaco in comic book form: the album L'Histoire de Monaco was published in 1997. The following year, he was asked if he would be interested in reviving the classic pirate series Der Rote Korsar. This resulted in a total of four volumes together with the scenarist Christian Perrissin. Alongside this, he also worked in advertising, illustrated company publications, and conducted interviews on the subject of comics for a weekly radio show in the Paris area. Finally, in 1999, the French publisher Glénat offered him the chance to start his own series. Happy to be able to write more of his own scenarios again, Bourgne launched the detective series Frank Lincoln, the first album of which was published in France and Belgium in August 2000. Since 2012, he has also been the artist for the new adventures of the racing driver Michel Vaillant. Eillam (b. 1979), whose real name is Brice Mallié (he is Vincent Mallié's brother), lives in the Paris area. After an artistic education, he initially illustrated children's books for the French publishers Koutchoulou and Magnart-Vuibert. Together with the scenarist Christophe Pernoud, he created his first comic: American Trip. This road movie was originally intended to be published in two parts, but then came out in 2009 with almost 100 pages as a complete edition by Bamboo. In 2011, Eillam, who likes to name Jean Giraud, Régis Loisel, and Olivier Vatine as his role models, began assisting Marc Bourgne with the drawings for his Frank Lincoln series.
