Details: Rudi Hurzlmeier (Munich) was born in Lower Bavaria in 1952. He is a self-taught artist of humorous art and now works as a cartoonist, painter, object artist, and author. He publishes regularly in the satire magazine Titanic and in the Süddeutsche Zeitung. In 2004, he received the German Caricature Prize in Silver, and in 2010, in Gold; in 2005, the Sondermann Prize for Humorous Art. In 2008 and 2010, he directed the Summer Academy for Humorous Art in Kassel.
