Details: In the tranquil town of Schwarzenbach an der Saale in the Hof district of Bavaria lived Johanna Theodolinde Erika Fuchs, the long-standing and highly esteemed translator of Disney comics, celebrated for her linguistic talents. And it is here that a museum for comics and linguistic art is being built, which will open at the beginning of December 2014 and bear the name of the art historian with a doctorate. Elisabeth Dietz documented the construction and conception of the museum, and Klaus Bohn investigates how Erika Fuchs managed to rescue comics from their niche and provide Disney comics with linguistically high-quality translations in speech bubbles. Furthermore, ALFONZ explores the background of the comic series "Guardians of the Galaxy," which served as the basis for the current cinema hit. Space and superhero action in one, that's a tradition at Marvel. The big summer comic blockbuster is called "Infinity" and sends the Avengers (and many other superheroes) into battle for the fate of the universe. Also joining in are the freshly revitalized anti-heroes Guardians of the Galaxy, currently in cinemas. ALFONZ not only reviews the latest Marvel Hollywood flick but also presents the comic history of the Guardians, examines the added value of "Infinity," and interviews Fahri Yardim ("Tatort"), the German voice actor for Rocket Raccoon.
